§ 10-53. Issuance.

The mayor may grant licenses for any of the purposes specified in this article upon payment of such sum as the city council may from time to time direct. All such licenses shall be signed by the city clerk, with the corporate seal affixed, and shall state the amount paid, for what purpose granted and the length of time the license shall continue in force. The city collector shall pay promptly all monies so received for licenses to the city treasurer, and shall make a monthly report of such monies received in full to the city council.
